1818: Save the Union

It’s just before three in the afternoon, and everyone is ready. The parade through the city is about to start — but the chairman of the Synod has vanished, and the certificate and seal have disappeared with him. Word is that opponents of the Union are behind it. You have one hour before the service begins.

Step into 19th-century Kaiserslautern — we’ve taken a few liberties with the real history of the 1818 Palatine Church Union, but with teamwork, intuition, and a little logic, you’ll set things right. Find the chairman, track down the missing documents, and secure the seal before the bells call the congregation to service.

The room that had to come with us

Back in 2017, when we first had the idea of turning a real chapter of Kaiserslautern’s history into an escape room, we had no idea what a journey it would turn into. The 1818 Palatine Church Union isn’t just a historical milestone for the region — it was our passion project from day one, and ultimately what turned us into full-time operators.

When it came time to move, one thing was clear: where other operators tear down the old rooms and build something new, our classic came with us. We rebuilt “1818” at Barbarossastraße 1 with even more attention to detail than before. Because good stories don’t age — and because local craftsmanship deserves to last.
