A note on language
The tour materials are in German — but that's no reason to stay home. Modern translation apps like Google Translate let you point your camera at any text and get an instant translation, which works surprisingly well for puzzle clues. Multilingual groups have been playing the tour with us for a while now, and the feedback has been great.

On the trail of Professor Magnus …
A mysterious discovery recently came our way: during a clear-out in the attic of an old villa, an enigmatic backpack turned up. It once belonged to Professor Magnus — a fearless researcher who devoted half his life to tracking down mythological creatures.
Rumour had it that he used to roam the streets of Kaiserslautern by night, secretly documenting the traces of magical beings. His greatest dream? To catch a glimpse of the legendary Fufflefy — a unique hybrid creature born from several different mythical beasts.
Whether the Professor ever succeeded remains a mystery. But he left his findings, codes and notes scattered across Kaiserslautern. Now it's your turn: grab his backpack, decode the hidden clues in the city centre — and find the Fufflefy!
What to expect
- A real, hands-on puzzle backpack. You're not heading out with a phone or tablet — instead you get a proper backpack packed with tactile props, padlocks and sealed compartments.
- A discovery trail through Kaiserslautern. The puzzles lead you to shop windows and locations throughout the city centre, where charming mythical creatures are waiting to be found.
- 100 % analogue puzzle fun. No screens, no digital hurdles — just hands, eyes and brainpower. Only right at the very end will you briefly need your smartphone for the final code.
- Fun for all ages. Suitable for children's birthday parties from primary school age upwards — but just as enjoyable for adult groups looking for a relaxed yet challenging city walk. A great outing for corporate groups too. Larger groups can start at staggered times with multiple backpacks.
