Groups & Booking

How many people can play?

All escape rooms and the VR space are designed for groups of 2 to 6 people. If your group is larger, give us a quick call — we'll find a way.

How do I book?

Online via the booking button at the top of the page, any time of day. Prefer to call or ask something first:+49 631 / 31 16 39 01.

Can I just drop by without a booking?

Please call ahead — we're not always on site and we don't want you turning up to a locked door.

What if I need to cancel?

Cancellations up to 48 hours in advance are free of charge. Please let us know as early as possible, either by phone or by email. That way another group can take the slot.

During the Game

What does a visit look like?

Just arrive on time — no need to be there fifteen minutes early. We'll meet you at the door and then you're off. There's a chance to use the bathroom before you start. Afterwards there's always a bit of time to chat, and sometimes a quick look behind the scenes. Allow about 1.5 hours in total if you have somewhere to be afterwards.

How long does an escape room take?

Around 60 minutes — a little longer for some rooms, a little shorter for others. You play until you successfully escape.

What age is it suitable for?

Generally from age 10 and up. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Some rooms have specific recommendations — check the individual room page or ask us beforehand.

Do I need to be physically fit?

No. There's nothing to climb or crawl through.

Is KeyTown accessible?

Unfortunately not. Our building is only reachable via a short flight of stairs, and the rooms are in the basement.

Prices & Payment

What does an escape room cost?

The price depends on group size — the more of you there are, the cheaper it gets per person. The full breakdown is on theprices page.

How do I pay?

Cash or card on the day. Some experiences can also be paid for online in advance.

Are vouchers available?

Yes. Buy online, pick up in person, or order by post — everything explained on the voucher page.

Virtual Reality

What is VR at KeyTown?

A dedicated space with more than thirty games — VR escape rooms or mini-games. You book the space and choose what to play spontaneously on the day.

Do I need VR experience?

No. We give you a quick introduction and the rest takes care of itself.

Can I play VR wearing glasses?

Usually yes — the headsets have plenty of room, unless your lenses are unusually large. If you have a strong prescription, a quick test beforehand is a good idea.

Will I get dizzy?

Usually not. Our games are designed so that movement in the virtual world matches movement in the real world — which means your sense of balance stays steady and motion sickness doesn't kick in. We often hear "I can't do VR, I always feel sick" — and most people are genuinely surprised that it works fine for them here. Only in rare cases does it not work out.

Puzzle Table & City Tour

What is the Magic Puzzle Table?

A portable puzzle experience for home. You collect the table from us — safely packed in a 50 × 50 × 50 cm box — play whenever and wherever you like, then bring it back.

What is the city tour through Kaiserslautern?

You get a backpack with everything you need and solve puzzles through the city at your own pace. No game host, no fixed start time — you begin whenever suits you.
